Technical Air Balance has been leading the TAB industry since 1967. Testing Adjusting & Balancing or TAB is the system used to achieve the design intent and proper operation of an HVAC system. TAB is most commonly utilized in commercial applications such as new construction projects, existing building renovations as well as healthcare and educational facilities. The TAB process is used to achieve optimal performance of a buildings environmental system, by testing the air and hydronic components. A properly balanced system will ensure the facility is operating as energy efficiently as possible, and per the owner’s requirements. Common requirements for an HVAC system range from employee comfort to pressurization and humidity control. The balancing process is performed by a third party company that specializes in TAB and is certified through a nationally recognized organization such as the AABC or NEBB. A company’s involvement with a nationally recognized organization such as the AABC or NEBB ensures that the work will be performed and supervised by qualified professionals who meet the association’s requirements. Technical Air Balance is also a member of NEBB (National Environmental Balancing Bureau). Our teams use calibrated instrumentation and state of cutting edge technology to ensure accurate and repeatable measurements. Our commitment to quality work and customer service has been key in the continued success of Technical Air Balance

Building Systems Commissioning is the process of verifying and documenting the functionality of specific system and subsystems including HVAC, plumbing, lighting control, fire/life safety and building envelope in relation to the owner’s project requirements (OPR) and the contract documents. Commissioning is a systematic process that is led by a certified Commissioning Authority or CxA. The CxA is responsible for leading the commissioning team through the commissioning process throughout each phase of a project. Technical Air Balance is a member of the AABC Commissioning Group (ACG), and our qualified staff has extensive experience with the commissioning process. Our team can help lead your project through the commissioning process, and ensure that the OPR is met. We will work with the design team prior to construction, and assist with the commissioning team throughout the construction phases. Our CxA will continue support throughout the project turnover, and post-occupancy to ensure owner and operator satisfaction.
